Study on Learning Ecosystems in Africa

Ecosystèmes Apprenants Afrique

Project management : Campus de l’AFD

Year : 2020

In recent years, collectives have emerged in Africa that are experimenting with new pedagogical approaches that emphasize collective intelligence, knowledge sharing, creativity and the co-construction of knowledge and solutions. Places of encounter and pedagogical innovation, led by these “learning” collectives (in the sense that they promote learning between peers and within the community), play an increasing role in the animation of dialogue on the territories, the development of the skills of actors and the passage to action to reinvent the ways of inhabiting the world. Fablabs, third places, incubators, learning communities or innovation campuses, etc. are part of the dynamics that are multiplying today in Africa, illustrating once again the power and speed of innovation on this continent.

It is to better understand and learn from these dynamics that the AFD Campus wanted to launch this study on learning ecosystems in Africa.
