The research report offers a look at the renewal of participatory initiatives in Marseille. The report is structured around the observation and questioning of what we have called an emerging “situated democracy” in Marseille: a new participatory impetus that seems to be anchored and concretized within specific urban spaces, for neither public nor private use, and which specifically seeks to concretize the aspirations of inhabitant in the making of their own living environment.
